Vote Manipulator

A Vote Manipulator is a role given to a player, which has the power to alter the normal resolution of a vote. This could mean giving the player extra votes, negative votes, or being able to affect the vote more directly.
This role is rarely used, however the weaker versions of this role (double vote power, etc) typically appear more than once when they appear at all. The more powerful versions of this role usually have limited powers, though examples do exist of players able to overturn the vote every night, as long as the player were living.
This is the only type of role with the ability to covertly sabotage the public vote, typically the most reliable kill in a game. As such, the presence of one or more Vote Manipulators usually signifies the presence of more powerful and/or more numerous village-aligned specials, especially if the Vote Manipulator is mafia-aligned.
Types of Vote Manipulator
Increased Voting Power - In this role, the Vote Manipulator's vote counts for 1.5 votes, 2 votes, or some other arbitrary or dynamic number greater than 1.
Negative Voting Power - In this variation, the Vote Manipulator's vote counts as negative, instead taking a vote away from his target. Alternately, this ability may or may not be usable while casting a real vote.
Vote Cancellation - In this variation, the Vote Manipulator cancels out a specific player's vote.
Mayor - This is a powerful variation which may completely overturn the village vote. Usually this causes the kill to trickle down to the second place vote-getter, but sometimes it may also cancel the village vote completely.
