Seer

A Seer is a player with an ability (often called a "seering") that returns role information about a targeted player. Seers are typically aligned with the village, and often find themselves at the center of the village network.
Mafia seers and neutral seers are occasionally found in games that have only specials and no Villager.
Types of seers

Vanilla Seer – Traditional seer, can discover the alignment of one player a night.
Role Seer – In addition to learning the alignment of the player in question, the seer learns what role the player posses.
Win Condition Seer – This seer discovers the win condition of the player in question. Typically only found in games where every player has their own personal win condition.
Attribute Seer – Instead of discovering the alignment of the player they target, this seer discovers if that player has a game specific attribute.
Insane Seer – The insane seer always sees the opposite of the players actual alignment. Good players appear evil and evil players appear good.
Paranoid Seer – The paranoid seer is a player who thinks they are a seer but will always see the targeted player as evil.
Naive Seer – Similar to a paranoid Seer a naive seer believes that everyone is good.
Mechanic Seer – Not technically a seer, the Mechanic Seer can typically ask the host one question about the mechanics of the game a night. Many people believe this role is broken. See Mechanic Seer for more details.
Playing the Seer
The seers number one priority in any game is starting a network. In a typical game with a called vigilante kill the seer should either seer the vigilante night one(if he reveals before vote close), seer him night two or simply PM the vig after the called target is killed.
Occasionally the vigilante will not call his shot or is not present in a game. Under these circumstances the seer should create a network of people seered as not evil. When a baddie is found one of the villagers acts as a mouthpiece for the seer, giving the village a vote target and allowing the rest of the village specials to get in touch with the mouthpiece.
