Bus Driver
From PhallaWiki
A Bus Driver is a role given to a player, which has the power to swap effects from one player to another. The Bus Driver selects two players (A and B). Any targeted ability, such as a seering, guarding, or killing by mafia or vigilante, which targets player A will instead target and resolve on player B. Vice versa, any targeted abilities which tartet player B will instead target and resolve on player A.
For example:
- Rend is targeted by Infidel (Seer) and Cardboard Tube (Guardian).
- Ardor is targeted by Squashua (Vigilante).
- A bus driver switches Rend and Ardor.
In the results, Rend would be targeted only by the Vigilante, and so would die. Ardor would be targeted by the Guardian and the Seer, and so the Seer would receive results on ardor instead of Rend. Whether the host specifies that the seer's target changed is up to the individual host.
Bus Drivers are traditionally Village-aligned, and thus hold the objective of eliminating the Mafia players.
Bus drivers also possibly hold the most changing power in the game. Skillful bus drivers have often turned games in their favor even under horrible disadvantage.

Playing as a Bus Driver
-A bus driver can act like a guardian by targeting the vote leader and another player (such as himself or a known ally) at the end of the day. Since mafias and vigilantes are unlikely to target the already doomed player with a further kill, it's normally a safe way of redirecting unaligned or random kills onto players which were doomed anyway.
-A bus driver may typically target himself. If the bus driver knows the identity of an opponent, by targeting that opponent and themselves, they may redirect their opponent's kills back at them, forcing them to commit suicide by the redirect.
- -As a note, occasionally when a bus driver role is known to exist, kill-power holders will second guess the bus driver and deliberately target themselves with their kill, redirecting it back to the bus driver.
