| 1. TrueNeverborn's Shadow Phalla: Return of the Wagon | Cultist
| Dead day 2, won? | No idea what the hell happened here or what my role even was before getting killed night 2. Our win condition was as vague as hell ('Find what you need') and we weren't informed of our abilities until after most of us died - while the host insulted us in the narration for not sending in orders. That coupled with our player list being leaked due to a proboard problem led to quite a weird game before getting kicked out day 2. |
| 2. Savant's Color Wheel Phalla | Purple Converter
| Survived, Win | White village had no idea what was going on in this game. Was easy to team up with black mafia and being able to convert anyone to our side. Very interesting game set-up with all the public actions. |
| 3. enlightenedbum's Ultima VII:The Black Gate 2 | Gargoyle
| Killed night 2, Win | A shame 2/3 gargoyles got targeted night 1 by mafia. Happened to be guarded night 1 but that only delayed my death for another night as a seer mouthpiece revealed. Nevertheless we served our purpose and killed a few mafia with accurate boomerangs. |
| 4. adventfall's Phable: The Lost Phalla | Oakvale Villager
| Killed by mob night 2, Win | Another early death. Was right on the money with mafia suspects but died the day I took on job as seer mouthpiece for PMs. |
| 5. Rend's True Names 2: The Namening | Infernal Force of Conquest | Survived, Win | Very interesting game and role. Was inactive for the earlier part of the game which fit the role perfectly. My quest was to aid a faction which made the final kill on another faction and prevent them from taking a penalty for that act. Completed second-last night, was keeping in touch with two houses. |
| 6. Infidel and MrBlarney's Late Nite Phalla | COCK Host
| Killed by mob last evening, Loss | Making shows and rating them was fun, more than the phalla itself though which led to swift defeat for the village. My shows were clearly the best. |
| 7. lonelyahava's The Phalla Scriptures | Job
| Killed night 7 by SK, Win | Had a one-time use vig, guard, seer and +1 vote. Used my seer on Rawkking who was mafia, announced my kill to Whitewolf who was the village network at the time and vig'd him day after. WW then proceeded to ignore me for the rest of the game until he needed my guard at the end. So far my only game being a village special, I find I did alright. |
| 8. Dacvin's Fun Times in Gensokyo | Vanillager
| Killed night 4, Win | Died early, didn't do anything. Didn't really follow phalla afterward. |
| 9. Edcrab's Phallakinetic Armageddon | Pinnacle Guild Precog (Mafia)
| Survived, Win | Great game. Fun role and group, story was excellent. We did a good job with our convert targets, although one convert nearly lost us the game by the convert playing against her win condition and revealing our names. Teamed up with Quicken's Gumpy until the end, he was killed by a would-be teammate to grant the shared victory to his ally. |
| 10. Infidel and MrBlarney's Persona: Hall α | Student
| Killed Night 9, Loss | Difficult game for the village. Only information could be gained from killing people with abilities, to which mafia was especially resistant against + well provided by being networked to strong heals. Called for the death of one goon which took ages, in the end the village only managed to kill 2 out of 30. |
| 11. Zellpher's Space Horror | Aspect (Mafia faction)
| Killed Night 4, Loss | Power heavy game with specific roles/PMs for even every villager and two small mafia groups with even less group abilities. No cover roles or villager PM example, game was pretty much already over after early role call. Because of the vague win condition we were never sure if aligning with the other mafia faction was possible. |
| 12. Jason Todd's The Phalla of Hyperion | Ouster Freeman
| Killed final night, Loss | Consisted of primarily 3 unnetworked factions, I only woke up in this game late after deshadow (technocore, cleverly displayed himself as being neutral) brought me in contact with another Ouster after most of them were dead already. While our vig tried to kill Technocore and hegemony lamented the fact that it seemed as if Ousters were teaming up against hegemony they continued to kill Ousters nonetheless while whining all the same. Technocore victory. Fuck you Hegemony. |
| 13. Blizz 101's Phalla Effect: Revelation | Human Scientist
| Killed final night, Loss | This game had some interesting mechanics, public player health pool and counterattack perks. Unfortunately the latter made it easy for mafia to hunt down village specials. Worked with Egos to try to find mafia but unfortunately couldn't find the few last ones the final day. Botched a healing order earlier that perhaps would have changed things. Made a little credits vid |
| 14. Arivia's Last.fm 2 | Angel's Court, later Night's Court | Killed penultimate night, Loss | All was going well until in the search for a almost dead mafia converting a player each night the village specials killed everyone causing the loss of my faction. Conversion shenanigans. Should have tried to 'reconvert' faction members instead and kill the other unknowns while seeking mafia aid. Misinterpreted that they couldn't be allied with. |
| 15. Delmain's Phallavatar | Vanillager
| Killed early, Loss | Killed very early for apparently making a useful post somehow or something. Didn't watch the show but somehow mafia thought I was some kind of expert for deducing that a kill that didn't go through was guarded against. Didn't follow this game but apparently the network leaked everything to a thrall. |
| 16. Gumpy's Spectrum | Spectrum Indigo , later Spectrum Violet
| Killed day 8, Victorious | Awesome game. Teaming up with infidel proved to be very effective as I got a violet shard early boosting my powers immensely. Unfortunately hubris got me and I was roleblocked and slaughtered by mafia. Game had a very interesting set-up with locations and learning new powers overnight as well as every villager trying to be the last of their color to survive. Great theme, awesome role powers. |
Mini
| Game & Thread Link | Role & Alignment | Final Outcome | Comments |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. jdarksun's Snowed In | Vanillager
| Dead day 1 vote, Win | Made a stupid joke that wasn't appreciated. |
| 2. Burnage's Left4Dead | Screamer (Infected)
| Killed Day 4 vote, Loss | Our villager strike force did terribly on first night, everyone using an ability which took away our chances of taking on all the zombie hordes that swarmed us. We all were incap'd and turned infected once revived, my healer traits weren't usable as infected which revealed me as mafia right away. Didn't do anything once I was revived and turned infected for that reason (not getting revived meant a loss in any case as the village condition was to survive). TehSloth ended up as the sole winner. |
| 3. Arivia's The Songs In My Head | Mafia
| Survived, Win | Fun game, high amount of neutrals. We missed two kill orders which hurt us near the end as the village had acquired too much information at that point and was aligned with an invincible vig. Teamed up with 2 neutrals on the final day. The information exchange revealed the final pieces of the puzzle and allowed us to win together with last-minute vote shenanigans. |
| 4. Kime's Feral Spirits | Pigeon
| Killed last evening, Loss | Kime phalla. |
| 5. Burnage's The Montauk Project | Lisa Freud. Timeline A: Deontology , Timeline B: Liberation
| Victory in Timeline B | Burnage phalla Seriously. Interesting stuff with the shadow person and timelines, abilities were insane. Gained simonwolf's "imagination" powers on day 2, public seered myself and tried to make myself invincible which, thanks to busdriver lemming, guarded other villagers instead. Took down mafia with the vote every day in Timeline A but we lost A due to SK going nuts with making people disappear. On the other hand no mafia was taken down in B until the final night in which they lost victory in timeline B. Trying to make sense of this game was impossible. |
| 6. Frostmist's Phalla vs Snakeman | BurgerWitch: Lulu | Loss | BurgerWitch faction was doing pretty well and most of mafia were discovered or suspected before I died. The plan to seer infiltrators from our own faction and instead murder suspects from different factions was however not carried out by the others after my death. BurgerWitch got slaughtered as a result. |
| 7. AOR_Final's Frisky Phalla | Vanillager
| Killed Night 2, Win | Killed early by Mafia for voting out goon Samurai. |
| 8. LoserForHireX's Warhammer Fantasy Phalla | Cultist of Chaos
| Survived, Win | 4 Mafia members, 2 kills a night. Village vig and SK helped in wiping out specials/villagers, all specials were gone by night 2. Problem arose when the SK couldn't be killed with our attack and started to target us instead. Minor Second convinced Hippie that Cultists have a secondary victory condition to betray one another and end up as the last cultist. Hippie followed in the plan and killed/voted 'fake' cultist targets. Bit surprising how we eluded the vote the last 3 days. |
| 9. Spectrum's Past Lives | Odd day vig
| Killed final night, Loss | Got to vig two targets, unfortunately I hit a neutral and a villager. First target for trying to avoid the thread conflicts (of which there were way too many to properly follow what was going on), the other to confirm we hit a mafia with both duna or simulacrum down. Unfortunately I got my powers boosted too late to get more targets down. |
| 10. HeavyVillain's Half-Life | BMRF Healer
| Survived, Loss | This game was very odd to try to follow. In a revenge act by Whitewolf made network head due to public seer. Mafia started extremely underpowered (but was able to hide due to lack of villager co-op) but the situation was reversed for the final night in which the villager defenses were made useless by HV and they still had access to busdrivers (and hence didn't even matter if I killed Burnage or not as I would have blasted myself). Best lesson I can learn from this game should I ever make a phalla is to limit on-the-fly game adjustments to a bare minimum. This was too extreme.
My role in this game was a healer. Used it to patch the attacked heroes up and heal whoever got hit by the secondary vote so it counted as a public seer, as we lost both seers very early in the game. |
| 11. Lucedes' Phantastic Revolution, Prologue | Ixbilt Chief Mechanist
| Died final night, Win | Interesting faction set-up with cool faction lore. Three major groups (of which I was one) and several smaller groups, tasked with either eliminating one of the major groups or some of the minis. Information is power. Our faction lacked killing powers, but we used our contacts in the mini groups to take out common enemies. Cooperating with the Great Beast after seering his Victory Condition proved to be most definitely effective. He would leave the game after the last Beast Slayer was killed which we knew the identity of but hid in order for him to kill more of our enemies while we copied his power. |
Spreadsheets
Google Spreadsheets is a good way of keeping track of the voting tally and other stuff. If you want editing access to one of my older spreadsheets to copy paste some code, just ask!
Cleaning up players list
When you copy the players list from OPs, they're usually preceded by numbers. I remove them using notepad++ and macro's. In notepad++: Macro (menu at top) -> Start recording. At the first character press [Del] for how often as you need, then press [Downarrow]. Macro -> Stop recording. And then 'playback' the macro ([Ctrl] + [Shift] + [P]) for as often as necessary. (You'll have to record a macro for [1;9] and one for [10;99])
Counting Redvotes:
=CountIF($D$2:$D$71,A2)
Checks D2:D71 for values that match A2 (player's name). The $ means absolute addressing so it doesn't increase the rows/columns when you copy paste this cell (it will increase A2).
If you misspell the player's name it won't count. This is why I keep a =countA(D2:D71) [the range with the redvotes] and a =SUM(E2:E71) [the range with the TOTALS of the redvotes] counter below the players list and check if they're the same. In case of a misspell it won't count towards the SUMCOUNT but it will count in countA, which counts every cell with a value in it.
Vote Leaders: Names
=FILTER(SORT(A2:A71,E2:E71,FALSE),SORT(E2:E71,1,FALSE)>0)
If A2:A71 contains the player names and E2:E72 the 'redvote count' on a player, this formula returns all players with more than 0 redvotes on them, sorted by the highest amount of redvotes.
Vote Leaders: Totals
=FILTER(SORT(E2:E71,1,FALSE),SORT(E2:E71,1,FALSE)>0)
Put this next to the previous formula. Of course, change ranges where needed.
